Types Of Candles
Votive candle is a small free standing candle burned in votive cups or votive candle holders. It is usually 1-2 inches in diameter and 2-3 inches tall. They are not much expensive, nor are their holders. That's why you can use them even in larger numbers. Light them in your bathroom for relaxation, or burn them for decoration of bigger areas: in your garden, around the swimming pool, along the paths and stairs.

Tealight candle is a small, cylindric, 3/4 - 1 1/2 inches high candle contained in a metal or plastic cup. Although it is short and only 1-2 inches in diameter, it can completely liquify and thus give off a great amount of scent. Tealights are economical, there's no dripping, all the wax stays inside the container. They are perfect for creating a special atmosphere for yourself or for a party.

Taper candle is probably the oldest candle type, also called a dinner candle. It has the classic shape of a candle, long and slender, from 6" to even 20" high. Taper candles are perfect for decoration, especially during dinners and on religious holidays. There are hand dipped tapers, tapers hand rolled out of beeswax, and tapers made in molds. Some taper candles can be made so as to narrow towards the top, some are made spiral, or even hollow.
