Lighting tealight candles is a great way to relax and make your guests (and yourself) feel special, as they're a great choice for mood lighting and atmosphere.
Tealight candles are small, cylindrical, usually filled within a metal or plastic cup, 1-2 inches in diameter and 3/4 - 1 1/2 inches high. They can burn about 5 or 6 hours each and because of their size, tealight candles are often sold in bigger packages, from 6 to even 100, so you can combine more of them depending on how big your room is and what effect you're trying to achieve.
They look perfect on the dinner table, just take the ones without fragrance, so that they don't distract your attention from the aroma of the food. Tealight candles with no scent are also used with simmer pots and food warmers. Other than that, there is a myriad of colors and scents, so you can try burning a few of different tealight candles and then decide on your favorite combination.
Since they are small, you can light a few tealight candles and leave them to burn from start to finish, without worrying much about them. They are perfect for use on any occasion. For example, line them up on window sills, countertops or along the garden path. A small number of tealights will help you relax in your bubble bath, or you can take a bunch of them and give a heavenly look to your garden party. Usually, the more you buy, the cheaper they get, so you can freely start planning your next big gathering!
There are tealight candles that are hand made, some can be made from soy wax, so if you are health conscious and responsible, this is perfect for you (soy tealight candles can be scented as well). And then there are the ones that are made to last for even 15 hours, great for extra long parties!
